We’re calling on the U.S. Department of State to #DejaElPlástico

Today, Azul sent a letter to the U.S. Department of State, calling on them to take a leadership role and support a strong Global Plastics Treaty that reduces plastic pollution and protects the health of communities and the environment across the nation – and around the globe.

In November 2022, 175 nations, including the U.S., agreed to develop a plastic pollution treaty by the end of 2024. With a month left before plastics treaty negotiations resume in Ottawa, Canada next month, we have an unprecedented opportunity to take action to eradicate plastic pollution.

Now is the time to act, and we need the U.S. to take a strong stance against plastic pollution at home and abroad.

Azul is proud of the work we have been leading for over a decade to #DejaElPlástico. Want to learn more about the lifecycle of plastic and why it’s an ocean and environmental justice issue?
