When it comes to plastic pollution, one thing that tends to be left out of the picture is the human factor. We talk about plastics and plastics in the ocean; and everyone has seen the picture of a turtle with plastic on its nose, and yes, that is bad but we have to understand also that “plastic is an issue of environmental justice,” said Azul Founder and Executive Director, Marce Gutiérrez-Graudiņš, during a talk earlier this year for Ocean Day 2021.
