Friends, after two years of going virtual – California Ocean Day is back in person!!!
And we truly cannot contain our excitement!!!
For years, #LatinosMarinos have shown up in full force to elevate our communities’ concerns and to advocate for solutions that advance environmental justice and protect our ocean and Madre Tierra. It started with just 7 advocates in 2016 and grew to over 90 advocates in 2019.
We’re working to change the story of who is an ocean advocate – aquí estamos – and we’re here to make sure the demands and needs of our communities are front and center.
That’s why we want you to be there alongside us.
We all play a crucial role in the fight for a healthier, stronger ocean and for the livelihoods who depend on it. Because, let’s be real, you don’t need to be a policy expert or experienced activist to make an impact! We come from all backgrounds and that makes this gente-powered movement run!
